That's a great idea for a place to carry a spare. I thought about carrying a spare clutch cable but it wouldn't fit in my tool bag and the parts dept. told me it's extremely rare for a stock TA/SM cable to break. I broke one traveling on my "71 Trumph (less than a 1000 miles) back in '71. I guess they make them stronger now.
