Been years, can't remember if it's a bona fide crush washer or if it can be scuffed on the garage floor, flipped over and re-used like an oil plug washer. What do the Enlightened Masses say ?

They're crush washers, is there any crush left in what you have? They appear to be made of relatively pure copper, and copper can be annealed/re softened by merely heating to a dull red and cooling it off. If you never exceeded the torque spec on the stay bolts you can probably get another use from them. I have a spare set, if needed, send me a address and I'll first class you a set.

I would replace them if you have the time...if not, heat the old ones with a propane torch & quench in water. Given what a pain it can be to replace them, that isn't something I am personally willing to roll the dice on.

I reused mine several times. No issues and I didn't even heat and quench.

I do the same, reuse mine with no treatment and they don't leak. Should you? Probably not, but you can.
