Dang Mike, if it weren't so cold I'd go. It was 11:00 this morning before I could ride my golf car without the shivers. Cherohala is 3500 feet, a lot colder than here. Yuck.

Well gentlemen, you know what happens if you stay home? It's not quite as cold as you thought it would be and it dosen't rain. FYI, elevation is 5390 ft at the peak, but hey what's a few thousand few feet amongst friends

We rode it last weekend with a bunch of Indians. One of my favorite rides.

Wonderful ride yesterday in the brisk air of my part of the world. The weather was good, only a minor sprinkle as I rolled back into Knoxville around 5:00. The colors of red, brown, gold, amber, green were magnificent in the valleys and lower elevations. In the higher elevations at the summit all is lonely and barren, gone for the season. Had the opportunity to stretch the legs of the new Commander with a mere 523 miles on the clock when I headed out. She ran flawlessly with only the normal metal dragging, she is a chubby girl and her undercarriage tends to droop a bit. Here's a few pics. Peace my brothers and sisters. Nice bike there, Mike. You should see the black Storm 1700 at Riders Hill in D town. It's a 2011 with 1200 miles for 8K out the door ! Man am I tempted.

Wade, the Storms are cool factor 10. They are the fastest of the Tbird lineup. Take it for a spin and you'll most likely take her home. Then you just plug in some REO and ride the Storm out

I seriously thought about buying it for 8K and flipping it this spring for 9.5K but the danger is in riding it, I would never want to sell it !

Nice looking bike Mike!
That guy leaning on it looks sorta cool too. He looks peaceful. Bummer I was too much of a weenie to go on that one but it was raining here that Saturday.

Thanks Scott,
Good observation Wade, I've been reflecting on my life and the realization I'm on the back side of this trip around the universe. Searching out my inner peace a lot more these days. Of course it could have been the effects of those half moons in my pocket.
