...... the incessant, methodical, insidious pinging of the cold Pacific Northwest raindrops permeated his entire soul, as they resounded in triumphant glee in the stainless steel saucepan placed strategically on the hardwood floor.With every percussion of the droplets falling into an orgy of water and gravity, the restless man tapped out an antiphonal in black plastic keys, defiant, desperate. The steam building within him found no escape, as did the steam rising from the huge cast iron pot on the stove, as he helped himself to another ear of corn from that cauldron...................
(he's had a roof leak and now he has password issues. To quote Doc Holliday in "Tombstone", "I'm afraid the strain was more than he could bear". So's as I sit here at my computor, I have empathy with Ryk, so I wrote this short anecdote in his honor)
