Here in Washington State on the East side of the Cascade Mountains many cagers feel the need to have studded tires during winter months. This along with heavy trucks cause ruts in our highways. Prior to placing new asphalt down the surface is ground down leaving a grooved surface. This makes riding a motorcycle to say the least challenging especially shortly after the grinding has been done or the right hand lane where there is less traffic. I have found it's best to slow down to about 50 mph, not fight it, let the bike move around a little and make small smooth adjustments. Anyone coming to this area, please use caution. We have at least ten miles of this.
