I was up in the 802 this past weekend (9/18-9/20) for my 20th reunion, and I saw a LOT of bikes. Mostly in groups of 10-20. Continued to pass bunches of them Sunday as we drove south on 7 thru Mass, and over 20 to rt8 south into CT. Not many on 8 as it turns to highway... Did I miss something? It's not Laconia week or anything is it? Just curious....

I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

I 'spose leafs is OK, but I do groundskeeping and by december, I'm sick of seein' the things. Dunno why folks drive around at 25 mph to see 'em. I has nightmares 'bout them things all over the ground.
But they do look cool all colored up in the trees. They should make them stay up there.

Don't know about you Northerns, but it's November before the color comes out here. Right now we have a good collection of dry brownies floatin' down all over. Nasty things getting in my cement work today.

They will be good here in Iowa over the next month. I might use that excuse for a few rides.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I grew up in Vermont. I know it's not leaf peeper season yet... I haven't set foot in the state on Columbus Day weekend in 10 years, I know better! Especially with NY plates Honestly, I usually like to go up the weekend before or after Columbus Day, because there's still some color, and both my mom and my grandmother's birthdays are in October. But the wife is a teacher, and it's tough for her to take time off outside of normal school vacation days. So reunion was my fall trip for this year. See you again for Turkey day, 802!!

This has been the best Summer weather and growing season for local Flora, since 1999 in the Pac Nor' West. If this is Global Warming, bring it on. Thank you Al Gore, for finally delivering on your threats and warnings.

Leaf Gawker Season has barely started here I cant imagine 431km SE of here by foot that gawking has commenced. Must have been the second coming of Laconia.
