Why bother removing it? I unhooked mine just to see how it ran. Tho i'm pretty sensitive to subtle changes, there was no percievable difference at all. Removing it is a pain as would be reinstalling it if you have to in order to sell it or if they ever start doing checks in Ca. Any benefit to removing it is negligable at most.
