Triumph never went under all together but only a limited number were made for a few years while they re-tooled. They really started going down hill in 1972 on with the crappy OIF bikes. I have gone through a few of those and made them what they should have been as best I could with the design. I especially didn't like the way the shift mechanisim worked.
