I was talking to the local Thai Triumph dealer today and he told me they have begun production of the 1100cc water cooled engines.
They're only selling bonnevilles locally,which are made here, and are having trouble filling back orders as a lot of folks aren't rapt in the looks of the new engine apparently and want the old style .
Triumph didn't do the correct paperwork on the cruiser range so they're taxed with an import luxury tax,and therefore not imported, while the bonnevilles,made here, get a lower tax rate.
This information is on a "For What It's Worth" basis,so don't shoot me,I'm only the messenger. A lot could just be gossip.This is Thailand.Time will tell.
