The local aboriginals know how to party.  It was the harvest - end of summer celebration for the aboriginals here, and we got invited. Loads of fun... and some locally made alcohol from rice... combine that with 30C and 90% humidity weather... we were drenched! Except it's not beer! ha ha!
It's a locally brewed rice alcohol between 40% and 50%... hits hard after an afternoon of doing this!
You can't see from the pictures, but the beach is right behind us. And we got lucky, there was a typhoon (hurricane) about 100km away, but we didn't get rain nor wind... although there were some monster sized waves crashing right behind us!

It's the only way to really get to know a place!
This tribe has been wonderful. They live right at the spot we enjoy going surfing almost every week, and they welcomed us and treated us like friends.
So, we give back in the only way we can... by being friends ourselves, kind to them and respectful of their traditions (even when some of those traditions leave me with a big headache the next day!)
Plus, my heart melts every time I see a girl in traditional clothing!
