Question: Not to derail the thread, but would an external electric fuel pump remain cool enough? I haven't used an external pump since the seventies, but it was huge (auto) and still had heat issues. Seems like everybody sinks them in the tank for that reason (which really makes it a PITA). Just wondering.
There are electric fuel pumps that are about the size of an inline fuel filter, they are even adjustable for pressure. Can't imagine they would be too complicated to plumb in
