I want to repack my Epco slash cut pipes because I can't take the loudness anymore. I just can't figure out how to get the baffle out of the pipe. I've removed the screw from exhaust side of the pipe that holds the baffle in place, but I can't get it to move at all. It's supposed to come out the exhaust end of the pipe, right? I've tried putting a smaller pipe in the other end to hammer it out, however, it appears there's some block in there that holds the baffle in place. Any one know what I'm doing wrong?

Are the tubes dent free? I would probably start squirting Aerokroil or some other WD-40 type product in both ends. My Epco baffles have two collar lipped rings, one front and one back that center the baffle in the tube, the front or exhaust end ring accepts the stay bolt. Actual baffle to inner tube surface contact area is 1" x inner circumference" x 2, not that much. Those baffles do indeed come out. You should use a properly shaped wood drift to hammer against the inlet end of the baffle, strive to place a uniform force against what you can get to in the inlet end. Get it (baffle) moving back and forth in the tube and you'll eventually succeed. The baffle is well made completely of 304 Stainless, you won't break it, but it can be knocked askew. If you start denting the baffle or the outer tube with ill advised blows, good luck.
