We got the cow killers, scorpions, fire ants (down south a bit), and a few others. But, if chiggers weighed a half pound each you'd have to carry a gun to get off the sidewalk safely. Hate the little bastiges. Got about 40 bites at one time years ago and have been allergic to them ever since.
