Had th same problem.added the grease,but still had problems.my fix,take the petrol tank off,cut a piece of rubber to fit around the neck gusset,where the coils are.thats ya problem,the spray from the road,flys off ya wheel n up inta the coils.any type of shield should work.had my bit of rubber on now for five years,no problems.no overheatin problems with the coils either,all good.
