Hello all!

I know that tire choices are a bit of a tired topic and yes, I did search and read prior posts, but I need new tires and have some questions for your experience. I have a 2006 America with stock rims, stock rear shocks, and ride height.

I really like the look of WWW's. The only option that I can find are these Dunlops:

Front: K177 120/90H - 18
Rear: K555 170/80H - 15

I think we have had members here run this combo? Questions: Are these bias ply tires and/or can I run them with tubes on my stock wire wheels? Will the front tire fit with no modifications? The way I understand it, that tire should be basically the same height as the stock tires were, but slightly wider. Is that tire going to rub due to additional width? I'd love to hear from anyone with firsthand experience with these tires.

Other options that are not white walls? It's no secret that there are not many options for our bikes. I don't want Lasertec's.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

The front rubs unless the fender is modified. In the vault are instructions on a bracket to lift the fender by an inch (look in the How To's thread) . I went a slightly different route and had the front bracket extended by and inch and then chromed.

Caspian Blue '03 BA, Union Jack/Stars and Stripes paint, BUBs, Progressive 812s, and lots of chrome

That looks awesome Martin!

So the consensus that I'm hearing is that there is not an issue with width, just hight? I remember seeing that mod discussed years back--headed to the tech vault now.

Thanks--John
