Yeah, that was my first thought. But I felt kind of funny asking that question after finally finding a co. who would insure my house. Long story short..., I started this house three years ago, had some minor disasters, one after another, and the money to finish the house dissapeared. I had "building insurance" for the year that it took me to make it "livable". But the Insurance co. would only give me building insurance for one year, then they cancelled. Then, they wouldn't sell me regular house insurance because the house wasn't finished. Catch 22. So I've been sweating this insurance stuff for a couple of years. (Even so, what's the odds of anything happening to a new house, other than tornado. Which we get around here.)
