yep. A break worked.
I took a tiedown and looped it over a phone book on top of the rear cushion, and down through the wheel so that it hung. once I got it lined up with the brake side spacer, I eased the other spacer in over the chain adjuster. Not too bad.
I enlisted my gf to help. I don't know if I could've done it myself.
This method went pretty easy. But next time I want to make some kind of underneath support to keep the tire straight. My goal is to do this job without cursing.
