That engine looks very much like a 60s twin has the old style look to the primary and the fake carb looks like a monoblock also looked like it may have an inspection cap on the cam cover to mimic the old rocker box. That big ugly radiator sucks though.



So Ian, it seems now that you've gotten a little better look at that new engine, you NOW seem to agree with me and when I disagreed with your comment made a few months ago that that engine 'looked like a Honda'.

And THAT'S what we've been talkin' about here, Ian...the "heart" of ANY motorcycle...the ENGINE. And, from what I remember of our first discussion of these new Triumphs, I thought you at first said even the engine "looked like a "Honda" to you, didn't ya?

The rest of any motorcycle such as the bodywork is always something that can easily and inexpensively changed or modified ya know, pre- or post-production.

Though tell me, what exactly makes you think the rest of these new Triumphs makes 'em look like "rice burners"? The radiator maybe? I don't see that at all either. In fact, that one new coming model that Bloor's Boys apparently have misnamed a "Street Tracker" looks SO much like a Cafe Racer that might have been parked out in front of London's Ace Cafe back when they were still playing Cliff Richard records on the jukebox there and years before the Japanese would begin to dominate the motorcycle market, that I just can not see how you can say you think these new machines look like "rice burners".

Do me a favor here and compare the two following machines...
