Is your air inj. still in place? That piece of genius engineering does get in the way. You need a thin wall deep socket, I see them on ebay all the time, obviously there is a market niche for them. You can use a straight thin wall non sparkplug socket and cram a thick piece of paper inside it so it will grab and lift the plug out. Or this
