Okie, I was in the same spot. I hadn't ridden in 15 years. I decide that before I got a bike again I was going to get my endorsement first and took the class knowing it would be the easiest way to get it. It was worth every penny of it. There was a lot of stuff that I knew, but didn't know I knew. Like you (and a lot of other people), self taught from experience. The class was worth every penny.
