Has any one done anything about that stock speedo? Ive taught about trying to put a Bonneville instrument cluster in, or do something like an ACEWELL unit. Either in the stock location or put it where the stock tac would go. If im going to spend 100 + just to get a tach i might as well do something cool. Any ideas or has any one done anything

I trashed the stock speedo for an Acewell several years back. Here's a link to my thread about that process. http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/forums/...part=1&vc=1

I sent my stock speedo out to Foreign SpeedoTach in San Diego and they not only got it working but got it working accurately! Of course, I keep a spare
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I removed my stock speedometer all together. I wasn't a fan of that huge thing on my handle bar.
I put a Dakota Digital Speedo/Tach Combo Gauge (HLY-3016) in my custom made tank console I made myself.

I put a fork mounted 48 mm mini cable driven analog on my Spdy bobber, you have to lose the shrouds to mount it. web pageA 2240:60 ratio is what our stock speedos run. No problems with it and I can see it just fine.

Edwin, what did you use to block off the hole for the speedo cable at the hub?
