I had never tried lane splitting until five years ago when I was in LA and San Diego. After my experience living in SoCal from 77 thru 87 I was amazed at how courteous the drivers were about it. On the other hand, as wide as my bike is, an America may not be the best bike for it. A skinny little 600cc sport bike would have made it a lot easier.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
