No, actually Ryk, the way that Ruskie is lane-splitting would definitely NOT be how I ever did it in California. And in fact, doing it IN that manner would definitely get you one hellaciously expensive ticket to boot.

Nope, going between 10-20 or so MPH faster than the crawling traffic is the only manner in which to do this safely.

And also of course, pulling between cars at a stoplight and then as soon as your light changes to green while checking for any last second and late cross-traffic and then a handful of throttle, leaves all that sheet-metal which is our biggest "enemy" out there, far behind you and instead of just a few short feet away.

(...yep, but once again I suppose this simple little concept is much too "complicated" for many of those in other parts of the country to comprehend, huh!)
