Got also a Tiger T400 rearwheel with 17inch in my america.
It is a straight swap, turned the wheel 180 degree, bolted the old sprocket on it, even used my old sprocket-carrier-rubber (hows that thing really called??). Just make sure that your tire runs the right direction.
Did not go for a fatter tire, just a 150/70/70 - wanted it for better cornering, not for the looks. Also have some Bonneville SE-Shocks in it as they are longer. With mounted sidebars you do not see the difference, but when you ride it, it puts a grin in you face. Real Clubracer now.
