Autozone, ORileys or whatever auto parts store near you. It's a 14mm washer I think it's labeled M14.

Do what you feel best, but for 40 years I've always just rubbed both sides of the things on the concrete floor. Gives it a new scuffy surface. Never had one issue. That's for the flat oil plug washers, not the single use exhaust type crush seals.

I've always re-used the copper washers. Like Wade said, just give them a little scuff & I always anneal them too.

#1 On annealing copper crush washers, bring them to a dull red heat, cool them off and they re-soften as new. Stay away from the Harbor Freight C washers, total junk as they are so hard an alloy, you can strip out the threads in Aluminum before they will deform and make a proper seal.

I don't do anything to the washer, just take it out when oil is done draining I put it back in. I have never had a problem.

I got some M14 washers at Advance Auto that are copper around the exterior with a small rubber sliver around the interior and they were $2.00 for 4 of them. They work fantastic.
2006 TBA "Raquel".
