A guy I know just got a speedy and the starter is off. Can he roll it off and see if it runs without the starter ? Thank you.

Shouldn't be a problem. You might want to cover the starter hole with a piece of cardboard since the spinning gear train will throw oil out the starter hole.

Thanks ! This guy bought a speedy with less than 1800 miles, sat mostly, had some starter issue, it was off, some guy was sposta fix it and couldn't . He was gonna see if it fired off before he paid 2,000.00 for it. I told him to join up here for the living institution this here site is with the plethora of wisdom and such nice colorful people. Think maybe I overshot that part ?

I have never been able to get mine to start from a rolling start when it is cold. It will pop but I have never got it going fast enough
