I am currently reading a bestseller about an ATF UDC agent who penetrated the Mongols back in 1998. Very interesting read. He actually earned his colors with them.
Apparently the Laughlin River Run is a favorite of the outlaw motorcycle gangs.

After the melee at Harrah's a few years ago, I don't think I'll ever go to the Laughlin River Run because of the increased police presence.

Well guys Im sure we can still have a good time at Laughlin even if those groups are there. Tons of riders from the Inland Empire here are headed that way and these folks have no desire to be around the Mongols, Vagos, etc.

I know a few people that headed out Thursday night. They are paying over $200/night as Becky said, or sleeping in a van in a convenience store parking lot. I look at it much like going to the strip on New Year's Eve - great place to go, but the last weekend I would want to be there. I think I would prefer it easier to ride, walk, get a drink, find a bathroom, avoid lines for everything, etc.

well, ya could always find out where the "Mongols" are racking for the evening and "politely" ask if they could spare a cot. LOL.
