So how did it go? Sitting here at work kind of bored, (chpter is down for a PM found a cracked something,I guess its needed for flight) so i am surfing the net and figued I would see how yalls weekend was..

Lets see,
Friday till 1pm I was watching new carpet being installed in my living room since my hot watewr heater sprung a leak on Thursaday night..

Friday night Lisa Kaylee ( Lisa's daughter) and I went ot the Martina McBride concert,, was pretty good show.. Nothing like seing a lot of country girls in one place. Man them skin tight jeans and tank tops and cowboy hats.. Sorry startign to drool here.... Left there went ot Walmart insearch of a tent that will fit in the bed of my truck.. No luck..

Saturday, Woke up at 9 or so washed the new BA and picked up Lisa so we could go bike shopping for her.. She really likes the Honda VLX delux Shadow.. I dont, but its her money. Still trying to get her on a BA or a Suzuki M50.. If I have my way it will be a BA.. We get caught in a rain storm, pull into a pawn shop.. While waiting out the rain I pick up a guitar and start to play and sing for her,,played " love song" by Tesla =,, she started to cry and I could not finish the song she grabed hold of my and would not let go... Man i really like this girl.. SO what did I do? I bought that guitar.. had ot call my mom to come geti t lol,, but its at my house none the less.. When the rain was over We rode out to my dads house hung out with him and my 8 year old sister.. ( dad owns a big a$$ farm with tractors and all that jazz,, yeah yeah I grew up there so I guess I am a country boy).. So now Lisa knows I am from the sticks like swhe is, maybe thats why we get along so well.. Anyhow took her home I shot ot my house took a shower and got dressed,, yall ready for this??? I put on a TIE!!!!!!! I must say I looked pretty good lol.. Back slacks, a lavender shirt and a matching tie, some black shoes and a black sport coat.. Yeah pimp daddy in the house.. went ot go pick Lisa up, stoped at the store got her a dozen roses and girl at the counter was such a sweet heart anmd gave me a killer deal on them.. Anyhow got ot Lisa's house she opend the doop and my jaw hit the floor.. I mean she is a hotie as it is,, but man I have never in my life seen a woman look so good.. She had on a long skirt with a black top that tied behind her neck, nice shoes and the whole 9.. BABY was looking good.. Once I collected my self I gave her the flowers and told her how god she looked.. We got in the truck and headed down town.. Had reservations at a place called " cypress" man the food was to die for.. She got the leg of lamb, I got the surf anf turf.. Half way through dinner she tells me she has never had someone do that for her.. As in buy her flowers and take her to a nice dinner... I was like yeah lets add that ot my cool point collection.. Eat dinner and we head off to water front park and talk.. Go home get a movie ( jarhead I highly recomend it) she is laying in my arms and falls asleep half way through it.. Move over i wake her and help her into bed. Head home and go ot sleep my self..

Sunday,

Laundry from 8am till noon, pack up 2 flight suites and 1 regular uniform.. Throw it all in a back pack and head to work. Drop stuff off and head off to the beach for a last minute ride befor my shift starts.. Now I am sitting here wanting to be home.. But hey i get paid to study now it seems..

So what did yall do?

Umm? Mowed the lawn Saturday am, bought a new m/c battery, had a bowl of chili & cornbread at a Bohemian/hippy market in Missoula. Looked at wierd people, looked at wierd people looking at me (?), drove 3 hours to a retirement party (no alcohol) Saturday afternoon/night. Got home way late, saw funny appearing animals crossing the headlight beams as I neared this small burg (no alcohol). Got up Sunday, drank coffee/read ba.com, did laundry, "aired out" stuffy wool blankets and quilts on the line, paid some bills, washed a bunch of mud off the BA from driving through construction zones, went for a spin down the valley, parked at a boat landing talking to a nice couple & two German shepards in from fishing - "Nice day for a bike ride" "Nice day to go fishing".

At least I didn't make anyone cry!! Wait, that was a "good" cry, glad for your weekend DD.

Very active weekend.

Friday Evening:
Took the Steph's daughter with me for a ride for an hour or so.

Saturday:
Was able to get a couple hour ride in the morning... alone.
Hung out at the dealer for an hour or so.
Took Stephanie, her daugher and my son to a local nature park for a couple hours.
Took them all out to the local AAA baseball game (Portland Beavers vs. Salt Lake Buzz). We left at the top of the 8th inning since it was 9:30 and Porland was down 2-4. found out that one of the Step-Daughters pet peeves is peanut shells on the ground. She would hold them then go throw them away.

Sunday:
Took off on the bike with Steph for a short ride before church.
Took the kids to church.
Took everyone to lunch at a restuarant in Vancouver that you throw penut shells on the floor. You gotta tourture kids sometimes
We all went to the driving range to hit a couple buckets of golf balls (I almost remember how to do that)
Played basket ball with the kids and a couple neighbor kids.
Went grocery shopping after my son went back home to his moms.

Monday Morning:
Summerized what I did over the weekend while drinking coffee and trying to remember all that happened.

Soren

Hi Doc,
If you haven't already looked, Kawasaki's Vulcan 500 is an excellent bike. It has that bulletproof Ninja parallel twin and it'll outrun all the 600-650 cruisers.
My weekend? Stunk! Beautiful riding weather, and I spent the weekend prepping my daughter's house for painting. I finished all that garbage and will spray it today.
Tomorrow will rain, but I am putting on my Frogg-Toggs and riding anyway.
Sounds like you're in a very nice relationship with a romantic, responsive lady - SWEET! Remember, it's our job to keep the fire burning - so romance away (romance is a verb also). Do something sweet everyday - leave notes on her windshield, keep the flowers coming (doesn't have to be roses). My wife used to travel often. While she would take her last shower at home before heading to the airport, I would open her suitcase and put post it notes in all her clothes. Each would have a little note about how much I missed her, and the sexy ones would go in her underwear - something like, "I wish I was holding you in my arms right now". Since she was probably nekkid when she found the notes in her panties - I thought that was appropriate. She'd call me every night and cry, telling me how much she missed me and what a wonderful husband I am.
I love my lady, too.
Anyway, let us know what bike she gets. Ride Safe and keep it fun.

Ride Safe, Dennis Triumph, it's how I live and what I ride.

Wow, sounds like a really good one you had there!!
Saturday, washed and inspected the bikes...had a friend come over with her Honda for me to go over...routine stuff, made her go at it real good with the cleaning. Just before the first rain, got the bikes into the garage, and was moving the tool cabinet a little closer to the workbench, when I hear a "Sploosh!....Squiiirrrtt!" and saw a FOUNTAIN of beer spewing all over the clean bikes!! Seems the sharp corner of the extension box hit on of my Daytona Bike Week Harley Beer 1995 cans and punctured it. This is AWFUL beer to begin with, but something that is 11 years old and has been hot/cold way too many times is almost unbearable. Sooooo, I got to rinse and dry 2 bikes all over again. Then it was time to drink real beer and watch the rain and listen to the thunder.

Sunday, got up and went to the Vietnam Moving Wall escort for the beginning of the Vietnam Vets Reunion in Brevard County....great turnout, maybe 4-5,000 bikes in all. Saw a couple of Rocket's and plenty of friends. Then went to Longdoggers in Satellite Beach for some pepper seared tuna and $.29 clams...yum! Easy evening winding down and watched Elizibethtown with the wife(chick flick, not too bad).

Got up this morning and discovered in the shower I must have herniated my bellybutton!! ******! Over 50 and falling apart...I should still be under warranty, shouldn't I??? Sorry if that was TMI.. I hate surgery, but the other options are worse.. Oh well, shouldn't disrupt the riding

later, Tom.

But, what do I know?

Mixed reviews on "weekend". The OL just had to go to the nearest Sonics 120 miles away in the cage. Only fun there was when a fool in a BMW 3something wanted to race up I5 and I left him. Other than that, Saturday was pretty much wasted. Sunday, I started to teardown the engine for my truck. You don't really understand just how big a 4.3+ inch bore is until you are holding a piston in your hand...

My wife had to work this weekend, so I had all the riding I wanted.

Saturday: Left for Tombstone and Hawg Wild Dayz about 10:30 am going the back way with less Interstate. On the way to Sonoita I had to stop for a downed rider. There's this particular curve that just eats bikes, and it claimed another victim. I was 3rd on the scene and had to turn around a bit up the road. It was a solo rider on a Yamaha Road Star the guy had only bought 10 days ago. Looks like he ended up with a possible broken wrist, and a puncture wound in his knee. Loaned my cell phone out, and went up the road a bit to get traffic to slow down. Stuck around as another biker and his wife who had stopped arranged for their nephew to come with a trailer to take the guy's bike back to his house while he got checked out at the hospital.

This guy was a novice rider with a 7 month old liscense going too fast into the curves and he said he panicked and pulled in the clutch instead of the brake. Hope the guy is going to be okay. This was also at the same spot where a guy I know was killed when he had similar injuries, but a broken knee cap sent a blood clot to his chest 2 days later and he dropped dead at home.

So after an hour and a half, I'm back on the road to Tombstone. Get there around 2 and there's a band playing the Crystal Place that's just rockin'. Enjoyed that for 1 set, but had to get back to Tucson for a bikini bike wash. That was okay...nice looking young thangs, and I think one of them worked at a local strip club. The other should've been paid with cheeseburgers, because she didn't have much meat on her bones.

Sunday: Went on a poker run for the local DAV(Disabled Vets). They were raising money to send a few vets to the Military wheelchair games that are being held in Alaska this summer. Being a diabled vet myself, it felt good to help my brothers out. It was a good long ride with stops that turned the route into an 80 mile run. I had my usual lousy hand...Ace, Jack, 8, 7, 3 in all 4 suits so no winner there. I did win a door prize...a toy bubblegum machine I had no way of carrying, so I donated it back.

After the run, I went over to a local watering hole that has an open mic pro jam every Sunday. I like to do this about twice a month, as they get in some good musicians, and there's lots of bikes there. Gives me a chance to taste some live music without having to go out at night. Fired up a nice cigar to enjoy while listening to the music. Also talked with "The Chef from Hell" as he likes to call himself, about where to get some wood to BBQ with.

Total miles for the weekend...around 350.

I spent from Thursday afternoon to Sunday in San Antonio Texas. Went there to celebrate my Aunt/Uncles 50th wedding anniversay with their clan.

The weather was nice there ...a bit overcast all the time but warm and comfortable. I tagged along while the golfers played "best ball scramble" for eighteen holes on Friday.

Saturday before the late afternoon anniversary party we went to downtown San Anton and the riverwalk/Alamo. I do not think I had been to the Alamo since I was in basic training at Lackland in the early seventies. It has not changed. The river walk is always interesting. We spent some time and money in a bar on the San Antonio riverwalk called "Dick's last Resort" where the service is good and given with "attitude" I recommend the margaritas.

The party on Saturday night was a well done recognition of fifty years of marriage. Plenty of beer and wine and a variety band.

Uneventful flight home to Tucson on Sunday. Tall sissy bar arrived while I was gone so I installed it on Sunday and made the sginificant other test it out. The ride is much more comfortable for both rider and passenger with the sissy bar regardless of stock seat or touring seat or solo/pillion pad.

Spent Friday Night in Emergency Room with wifey (Kidney Infection), Endured entire Saturday being manipulized, tortured, and downright ran over by 13 y/o and 7 y/o while wifey in codeine induced coma. Endured 17 collect phone calls from 22 y/o daughter locked up in county jail for god knows what. Spent Sunday at Lake Allatoona watching 7 year olds lips turn blue from 55 degree water, and 13 year old chasing crickets and keeping amazingly caught fish from being eaten by Lab (Lab won and ate hook and all), wifey still in comatose state. Monday, wifey awakes from comatose state, kids off to school, nearly killed on TBA in N. GA mountains.....Glad to be back at work....
