I was in the dealership yesterday - first time in months.

The new T-Bird Commander in the two-tone red is some real eye candy, to be sure. It's a shame buyers aren't lining up for that bike.

I told the owner I'm juggling miles on two Speedmasters, both bought out of his shop new (one by me). Both run great, even with the one near 105K miles now. They suit me. I can look all I want, but I have no incentive to buy a new bike right now.

And if I were to, it would very likely be the new Tiger 800XRX!

I like my dealer, and do want him to stay in business, but damn. What a hard business to make a living at. Too many used bikes available, and these old bikes just don't die off unless run over on the road.

There was a gal in there taking delivery of a new Bonneville, though. Her old Bonnie was run over, and she survived unscathed while the bike was totaled. And she's loyal to the brand. She was pretty excited about getting it!
