Looking for a new full face helmet but leaning towards a flip up modular with bluetooth. Anyone else have a modular helmet or have bluetooth built in that can give me their likes or dislikes?

Had a Shoei with the Scala rider system - it was great. Upgraded to a Nolan with their "built in" system and its as good.
Modular helmets will be heavier and nosier by design (more moving parts and more gaps for wind to get in). No big deal really. Find one that fits and go form there. You can adapt a BT system to any helmet. Its just a "nice to have" when it integrates from the factory.

That was one thing I was wondering, if they was noisier from more air gaps. The other thing was how well the speakers and mic worked while riding.

If hi fidelity is your concern, you almost have to go with earbuds, I wasted money on three different brands of speakers. For now, I'll stick with my Sennheisers.

i use a Bell Modular and like it, it is a bit louder than the non modular styles but i also use a shield which helps allot and when i don't its still tolerable. I have speakers in my bell to plug into an ipod and its ok around town but not great on hyway, i prefer my earbuds when using a half helmet. Still really nice when its cooler out though.

I've got the HJC CL-Max II. It was a very economical entry into a modular helmet, and I love the flexibility of it. Just lift for a scratch or a drink and easily close to keep rolling. It has a recessed opening for connectivity, however I haven't used it. I'm with Ryk and edm, use buds, they are the way to go no matter what in life you are wanting to listen too.

I have found with my scala rider and hjc cy max that I hear the best with ear plugs in. Without the earplugs I hear a lot of wind noise. Also a university of wisconsin professor said wind noise above 45 mph can and will cause permanent hearing damage. for what it's worth.

Anyone recommend wireless Bluetooth ear buds? Like everything there's a ton on the market.
I'm primarily looking for use to sync up my Android for Google maps but could/ would use for music on looong journeys.
I'm thinking something small that fits in the ear canal like plugs. I ride with ear plugs most of the time anyway so it seems like the perfect setup.

Jane my back seat rider likes her modular HJC for comfort and the ability to raise the jaw piece for cooling in very slow traffic. Ear buds connected to MP3 is normal so cant say how much noise back there.

I have the HJC Modular as well. It is noticeably noisier than my KBC full face, even with earplugs. To be completely honest, I have yet to use the Bluetooth and rely primarily on my Skull Candy buds for music.
