The whole notion of the eazy brackets is that they are on temp, just for travel etc and that they are usually off the bike, if you like having them on all the time then skip the brackets and go for a close hard mount. I want to do that with the T-bird OEM bags but i also bought the QR sissy bar which means either way my bags are going to stick out.... i might just put little spoilers on them or something!

Must have missed that notion.

As beautiful as the bikes are (pre FI) one still needs to carry 'stuff'. THE notion of ezbrackets are easy removability for hotel/motel/tent stowage. I mean how are you going to carry anything? A backpack? Where to put the 12'er and battery? (dinqua ). Or the gallon of paint? Sure a 50lb sack of laying crumbles can go across the pillion. But wait? Where are the freaking bungie cords? Jeez they are in the saddlebags which are in the garage.

Again, as sweet as our pre FI rides look nekked, for daily riding, saddlebags are a necessity and are way more than an occasional indulgence.

BTW and FWIW these 'quick release' buckles found now on most all bags are PIECES OF DUDU. Why? Over stuff your bags and try to get that dern buckle to snap home. Whereas with a true buckle, you can draw the lid closed.
