That Studie Champion was the exact car, color and all, our family had as "our second car"(aka, "Mom's car"...Pop's car was a '62 Caddie Sedan de Ville) back in the early to mid-'60s Ian, and I too always thought the original '53 Raymond Loewy design was inspired and elegant, and especially the 2-door hardtop(sans post) Commander.
But, HOW on EARTH you can call a C2 Corvette Stringray "ugly" is WAY beyond me, dude. Hell, almost EVERYBODY on this freakin' PLANET thinks it's a beautiful car, dude!!! You're really weird, ya know THAT?!
