Little things can make a big difference. Small black blinkers. Black Handle bars. Bar end mirror (This is till I pay for and pick up some round ones.) The bike came with a spare seat. Looks like the original seat. The foam has had some shaving done to it. I prefer the look of this seat than the one that my bum came home on yesterday.

Beautiful bike, but as practical as those Comstars are, that thing is screaming for some spoked wheels.

Agree, love every millimeter of the bike, 'cept the mags.

Lots has been done to the CeeBee. Some small some big.. Recap from when I got it... Here it is as of yesterday... Wrapped the exhaust connector pipe with header wrap. This is to hide the chrome that is coming away from the ugly weld. Fitted a set of Drag bars. Lower is better. Converted/mashed/cut up some CBR600 crash knobs in place of those horrid crash bars.

Comstars. Worlds ugliest stock cycle rims. But the bike is very cool!

Sidecovers done. Right side has brass mesh in behind it. Airbox in-take is on that side. Its not supposed be an E. It was supposed to be a scallop. The perforations would not allow me to get the points of the scallop. Oh well. WnRn Logos attached. Now to clean salt that is attacking the engine. I live not far from the coast line. They storms we have had have brought sea salt inland.

Sorry mate but our taste's are different here, all I see is a cool old bike being butchered, but each to his own as long as you are happy with it.

Yep.I like the old stuff restored these days.I've buggered up too many things.I've cut down and "sporterized" Swedish Mauser rifles that are now collectors items. I built a Chopper out of a T110 Triumph in 1970 that was at the time but now brings a tear to my eye when I think about the fact I should have restored it. But as you say, each to his own

Original configuration retains and appreciates in value almost every time over permanent custom changes. But it's the guy who rides it, who has the decisive vote.

Yep, Paul. Reminds me of what I did within a year or two of my purchase of that brand new '71 BSA Rocket 3. Yep, funny how it didn't seem to handle quite a well after I extended the forks by 6 inches!!!
(...that being said, I think what Ross is doin' to that Honda is lookin' mighty nice!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

My bike will go back to standard config with ease.
The frame was not chopped. This was a big thing for me to do this. The seat lock and seat hinge were cut off. If i were to put the original seat back on those can be welded back on and no one would know.

I thought the same thing then I thought well at least it's just rice. And bikes like the UJM are what helped kill Triumph and many other classic brands.

I am calling this done. What did I do to the Brat - CeeBee-6-Fiddy. Brat style seat made by Butlers Customs and Caferacers from Newcastle. Drag Bars. Biltwell Kungfu Grips. Junked the massive tail light. Fitted a Lucas replica. CB450 cut down rear guard. Wrapped the mid pipe of the Marshall Deep Tone 4into1 connector pipe. Mirrors made from 2 different sets of crusier style ones. Smaller indicators. Removed the tacho. Made sidecovers from perforated sheet. Airbox side has brass mesh. Made sidecover badges. Removed crash bars that came with te bike. Replaced with CBR650 Crash Knobs. Lowered headlight with different mounts. Centred the speedo. Move idiot light console. Fitted new lights. A big thanks to Liam Butler for helping me make my vision come true for this bike. To all on Sydney Cafe Racer FaceBook group and Central Coast Cafe Racers Group. You guys and girls have inspired me so much. Thanks you so much for your suggestions with this build. My wonderful wife who has given me ideas for this build. Greg Beckett for swapping this bike for my Speedmaster. I am hooked on Honda SOHC. If only I could afford a 70s CB750.

Yep.I wouldn't have swapped a Triumph for it but that's just me.

I agree concerning not drastically modifying stock bikes, but in this case it's a huge improvement. +1 on spokes opinion. Qualifier, I never liked the looks of the stock 650z, but this has become bad ass. Good work!

Glad you liked the drawing my wife did. More fiddling on the CeeBee-6-Fiddy. That huge fuse box on top of the handle clamps. Is gone. Fuses are now under the seat. Lowered the ignition. Lowered the headlamp even further. Cleans up the lines of the bike nicely. I like the stance it now has. Fitted some Renthal Ultra-Lows and bar end mirrors. Did an oil change.

Now it needs a small 1/4 cafe fairing to hide all that ugly you exposed around the headlight.

I made a tank strap today. Made from one of my old leather belts. Why? Cause I can. Plus I am changing the ignition barrel soon so wont be able unlock the fuel cap latch.

I like what you have done with this. It's funny to me that you have some crying foul. Heck, if it were me I would powder coat the wheels, lower forks, and maybe a few other bits gloss black. That is just my personal tastes though, to each his own. I salute you, sir.

Inspired by the flat tracking I went to watch last weekend. Plus I have had plans for a bit to change the look of the CeeBee I give you the CeeBee-6-Fiddy Brat-Tracker. TS185 head light and headlight cowl. H4 headlight fitting converted to allow me to mount a H4 globe in the TS headlight. Biltwell Low Bars. My neck can't do long distances with the Ultra Lows fitted. Biltwell Oxblood red Renegade grips. Next will be new tires. Something like Avon Distanze. Then the dreaded 70s suspension will have to be sorted.
