Petcocks seem to be a simple enough mechanism, gas on,gas off and reserve. They range in price from $20 to $120 (Pingle). What warrants the difference? Pingle says theirs increases performance by allowing greater fuel flow. Does't the engine just draw what it requires? This is for a project bike not my BA.

Pingles are shiny chrome or polished stainless (not sure which), more of a status symbol than a necessity. Fuel demand never exceeds what our stock petcocks can deliver. BTW, don't forget, you need to buy the proper adapter plate, for the Pingle to fit. It's a personal preference thing, as they do look good, no argument there.

The Pingle may not be a necessity, but boy, is it pretty! Fast Eddy carries them.

Pet cocks are loud and full of themselves. I'd settle for something less narcissistic.

It's not a necessity, but to have the stock part and the Pingle out side-by-side, there's not much doubt which one you would want in your petro tank.

That's a no-brainer.

Due to the new internet rules and regs as of 2/26/2015 fuel tank petcocks will from now on, be referred to as 3 way fuel valves as relating to the marketing, distribution and submitted internet matter and discussion in blogs and forums. These rules will go a long way to diminish any perceived or real discrimination due to the fact that not all Petcocks..I mean 3 way fuel valves are not created equal. Thank you for your cooperation.
