This injury almost looks like maybe from a primary belt drive.
It would similar as when you was a kid riding a bicycle with no chain guard and getting you pant leg or shoe string caught in the chain and sprocket. But on a motorcycle its going to keep spinning and pulling your foot in.
I ride a 2003 Bonneville America, whats your excuse?
