Quote: That thing sucks! Why does every motorcycle company feel the need to do a blacked out version? Especially Indian? Take one of the best looking power plants out there right now, and make it blend in with everything else? The Chief is different because of all the embellishments and shiny bits and they decide to hide it all behind the same boring flat black that you can find on every showroom of every bike dealer right now? wtf
Everyone is doing the black primer look, I don't get it either. I think it might look better if Indian offered this Chief as a separate model without the fender and frame valances kind of a more modern look for the same basic bike. And offer gloss black tins to contrast the flat areas.
This picture from the Indian site reminded me of the last picture taken of my Triumph. A photographer friend called and asked if she could use my bike for a shoot since the one she had lined up fell through at the last minute. Can't remember what it was used for or the model's name but they had to blur the Triumph brand name for copyright. Note she is using the passenger peg as a fake kickstarter.
