I saw this article where the fire occurred around April 22, 2002, so anything before that would be pre-fire. I bought my 2002 cardinal Red TBA in April of 2002 so I guess it would have had to been manufactured before the fire. I don't think there is any difference. The real change came in 2008 when they changed the tank and went to FI and assembled the American bound versions in Thailand.
