I filled up the wife's car for less than $20 last night. $1.83.9 per gallon. But then I remember gas wars when it would get down to 25 cents. Of course I was making $1.60 an hour working part time in a grocery store and was 16 at the time, about 45 years ago.

They want to raise the tax when the price is low thinking we're too stupid to realize that that tax will still be there when prices go back up.
If they really cared about fixing roads and bridges they would spend the money they already have on roads and bridges instead of underwriting empty buses and little used bike trails. Here in Iowa they are spending millions reconfiguring rural interstate exits that work just fine and building fancy new rest stops when the ones they already have are sufficient.
