Good question... Not sure..

But I do like it when a bike shop has a concrete strip a couple feet back from the edge of the pavement for kickstands.

No. I keep my little scooter clean, and I just pass 'em by.
Even if I smell chrome, I will not stop. Now, a dirt path can lead to a brilliant rebuilder. I had a '62 panhead motor rebuilt by an old man near Fresno, CA. He was THE BEST! He asked me what I wanted. I told him, "I want an engine that will run forever. I don't want more horses, I want a motor that will last". He said, "Great! we'll do it. Finally, someone who knows that the more power you get, the faster your motor wears out."
Then I spoke those fateful words that I'll always remember.
"Oh yes, I don't want it to leak any oil."
He looked at me with his brow drawn tight, and said, "Then how the he11 you gonna know if you got any oil?"
The engine purred like a kitten and cost me $730 in 1974.
Or should I say..... It potatoed like a kitten.......
potato..potato..potato..potato
But it was a dirt driveway, not gravel.

most good shops I've been in had gravel, potholes and a nasty hill to park on, but if you want the Hilton try your local bmw dealership, I think they serve quiche...I prefer stale popcorn in a polebarn

My dealer has gravel and he shares the property with his daughter's horse farm. Kinda nasty in the summer though, dust, flies and equine odors ! And yes, I do trust them.

Absolutely!

btw, if you are afraid of gravel, you'd better stay off Chy's driveway!

Where do you think you would get a better price on things, a place with a gravel drive or a place with a manicured lawn and Belgian Block curbing around a paved lot? Forget the show and keep the price low. TR

How long has it been there? If they are a new shop maybe they have got to sell a few scooters to afford asphalt

Is there gravel in Florida? Anytime I was there all I ever saw was concrete and sand.

Gravel? Something familiar about that.

Did I miss the popcorn last May? I do remember the banana pudding and potato salad...
