Thanks for that first picture with me on Di !!
I'd rather not say why it looked like I was pulling my pants up

First of all, glad everyone made it safely back home, and it's been killing me that I was unable to make it again this year, after all I had done to clear the way to do so. It sounds like I missed a really good time, and once again, don't let the weather forecast dictate how you live your life! It's a coin toss, and inaccurate most of the time!!!

Meantime, I woke up on the 11th, and instead of packing my bags and hitting the road, I instead cancelled my reservations and made a doctors appointment instead. I wanted imaging already, as I knew where this was headed, but instead I got a steroid dose pack, which wasted a week of vacation while the leg pain only grew worse every day. And it rained here (and has continued to...) every single day I've been off work.

Long story short, finally had an MRI done last week, which shows a slipped disc. I'll have outpatient lumbar surgery tomorrow. Should be up and walking Wednesday, and back to work by mid-month. So 5 weeks off, minimum, and couldn't go anywhere or do anything but hurt.

I should have another few days vacation left over I might do something in the Fall with....

I miss you guys and gals! Thank you for the pictures and memories!

Dang, I guess I never checked in officially other than a phone call to Wash Rider Road. Great rally Chy and Di! Good times. Good riding. Good to see familiar faces. The unexpected visitor brought beer too! Good to share in the excitement of buying a new trailer. lol Unlike the northern travelers, I had no rain on the way home.

That wasn't to last though, as I just got back this Tuesday from a ride up to Silver Spring MD. Rain chased me the whole way home and caught me in NC, or was it SC? Vera Lynn rolled fine both to the GA Rally and to the District. Not bad for an old Dame. Easy 80mph tank to tank roll. Was 64 degrees when I got on the outer loop at 5:15am. What a relief! The Sunday before was sweltering as Lou and I rode to Point Overlook State Park in Southern Maryland.
