I use glass bead and/or soda on brass parts, sugar sand is usually decent for sheet metal, especially thick pieces like motorcycle tanks and fenders

avoid the white sand, or wear a respirator to prevent silicosis

Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.
