RIP you will be missed!!! Had a moment with him in the 70s when I was a stage hand, seemed like a nice enough sorta guy? Took a minute to speak with me and he didn't have to soooo? I will always enjoy his music for sure and am glad he was here for us!

Yeah, Belushi could almost do a better Cocker than could Cocker...

Yep Belushi did a great Joe Cocker. I saw Cocker in concert several times in the 70's. He didn't have a great voice but he put all his heart and soul into his singing. Will spin some of his old albums in his honor.

A most unconventionable rock star, thanks for giving us all you could. One of the women in 20 Feet From Stardom gave him the highest praise.

I am sad, yet happy that we had Joe to share his musical energy like none other. The link below leads to his outstanding (was it his last?) performance "Fire it Up", live at Cologne in 2013. Sit back, turn the volume up and listen to this amazing performer.

Well said Keith and thanks for that video.... where would we be without "a Little Help from my Friends". Always thought that was his greatest and a legacy that will live on.

Rest well my friend!

I read once, that his exaggerated hand movements were him playing an imaginary keyboard or guitar. Something I hadn't thought of in years, but Keith, your video reminded me.

Saw him in Tampa Stadium back in the '70s.

Good link, thanks.

I was just playing Joe Cocker the other day singing a cover of an Eric Clapton song "Can't Find My Way Home"
I grew up listening to Joe (amongst others)

Hitchcock Railway , Darling Be Home Soon , Put Out The Light , You Are So Beautiful To Me .

R.I.P. Joe ... live on on vinyl

How about a couple of early pics from our neighborhood FB site.

Singing at the local watering hole. Got to be early, early 70s, but Newt can probably date them better.
