Better question is like the writer said why did they remove or cover all Triumph emblems then dress the rider in branded gear. And for unofficial "spy" photos they sure got every possible angle while the bike was at speed (means intentional set-up.)
It's easy to hide coolant hoses and the changes in the cases could be to allow room for water pump and thermostat but with clear shots low and around the aft part of the frame I don't see where they hid the usually large plastic overflow reservoir. Then again if it is an engineering test mule the a fake radiator would block airflow around an air cooled engine's cylinders.
