Just get the breakin oil out at the recommended interval. My book said 600 miles. Otherwise, just try to vary your speed and don't get on it hard until after you change oil. My Staintune instructions recommended 130 jets, but I went with a little bigger than that. You might try 135s or 138s. I tried 140s for a while but I felt that was too rich. Depends on your altitude where you live. I also, went with a little bigger pilot jets from stock 42 to 45. I even tried 48s for a while. One more thing, do yourself a favor and order some new stainless, hex carb screws from newspeedmaster.com. That's standard advise around here. The brass, philips screws strip out easily and you will be cussing.
Hmmm... I just thought of a question. What jets come stock in the newer, bigger engines? Same as the 03s and 04s?
