The base tune/map is on the lean side of things for emissions reasons rather than for optimum performance. If you go with mufflers that have any increased air flow, even just a little more, the Triumph TOR/aftermarket exhaust tune would be called for.
Seems there was some brand (was not a low $ brand) that advertised no tuning change required but it was not discouraged.
Having the map changed at the dealer really is not much of a job. Should not be more than a half hour labor as it only requires removing the seat, accessing the OBDII cable, connecting their Dealertool and a couple of keystrokes. Of course you can do it yourself with a little PC knowledge, a $20 cable and TuneECU. As long as you make only exhaust and not air intake changes the TOR tune will do a fine job with most any aftermarket exhaust.
