I just rolled up some Stainless baffles (version 4.0) for a pair of C. Shakers and due to the tapered inside diameter I am thinking of using stove door rope in lieu of blanket packing. Anybody have any input/experience to share on this idea? I'm thinking rope may be less likely to bunch up, but that stuff isn't cheap, I priced it.
