I go into a bike shop occasionally, just to look. Hardleys, Yamahamers, whatever. But almost all of the time, although I sometimes admire their lines, they leave me cold. When I first saw the America on a small showroom floor, It was love at first sight. I REALLY lusted after my America. And for months after I bought it, I would just go out in the carport and admire the lines. Beautiful. The same thing, almost, with the new Indian. I immediately loved most of the lines when I saw pre-release pictures. But it was a LOT of money for me, and I balked. When I finally got to a dealership, I liked it a lot, but NOT the instant love I had for my America. I actually drove 100 miles three times to look at it, and then it had me! And now, I go out to the carport to admire the lines of the Indian, like I had the America all those years ago. But I'll always think that the Triumph Bonneville America is one of the most beautiful bikes ever designed.
