and liked it! The new 750 water cooled, belt drive Harley was sorta cool. Didn't ride it, have heard very little about it in the press or advertisements. Seems like they should have done this a long time age. Any info on ride and handling?

Excuse me here Warren, but you DO realize that to most of the dyed-in-the-wool Harley air-cooled Big-Twin Cruiser "Faithful", you STILL haven't sat on a "real Harley-Davidson" motorcycle, doncha?!

(...and of course this SAME opinion would probably STILL be expressed by that crowd IF you would have sat on a V-Rod TOO!!!)

Yes, but, they are all getting old and moving to the Trikes.

Anybody rode one? Where is it made? Had a real '74 74" Shovel that I could never count on to get me home, without tools and parts. hehehe

As to Point No.1 of yours here Warren...and that is why the people at H-D deserve some credit for going in a new direction such as this, of course

And to your Point No.2...and THIS of course is why the SMARTEST move the H-D firm ever made was for Willie G. and HIS group of investors to buy back the concern from AMF and THEN invest funds to improve from the Shovelhead design and to the much more reliable Evo design. Because if THIS didn't happen, I'm sure AMF and their lack of reinvestment into the brand MIGHT have insured its ultimate demise.

(...you know, kind'a like how those blokes who made all those "wise" management decisions in jolly ole Meriden England did to a certain other motorcycle brand!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
