Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. H. L. Mencken

Reminds me of the galley slave scene in Ben Hur.
Ramming speed.

Don't those boats have rudders?

Doesn't anyone look where they are going?

Have any of those people ever done that before?

It reminds me of grade school kids driving bumper cars.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

They looked to be relatively new to the sport. In all fairness it must take a HUGE amount of coordination just to propel one of those things, and the fact that they're soooo long they must be difficult to steer.

Nah, those gals were just so blonde (even the brunettes).

Live to love, love to live.

I noticed the craft that rammed the other had oarsmen that were not even close to being in time.

I used to be in a rowing club. If that had happened, the president of the club would have all participants whipped until bloody! There's so much tradition in that sport, nobody wants it turn into a joke like this.
