That's right... Q&K. Okay, they're not on Micky Dee's list of delectable treats, yet these recent add-ons to dietary essentials are on the rise to fame within certain culinary groups. What say ye purists, experimentalists, extremists and other "ists" out there tuned into food, life and living? Are Q and K lined up to be the next liberators of health?

Watch "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" available on Netflix. Kale and other veggies are good for you and maybe just maybe if you get anywhere near that blond pictured above you might be able to keep up to her. OK maybe not.

Calm down ya dirty old men... Kale and Quinoa both very good foods, Kale is chock full of nutrients, and quinoa is one of the few plants that provide complete protein. And, what Paul said; you may not be able to keep up, but you'll still want to try

but not as much as Collard Greens.
Quinoa sometimes. my body doesn't

collard greens are better, Kale can bind calcium if you eat to much of it, as for the blonde

I acutally had some kale growing in my garden this year, not to bad on a sammy with about a pound of bacon and cheese. Still had to wash it down with a few brews though. As for the formentioned blonde, give her a few brews and she might like my bacon too.

Quinoa is pretty legit. I have a kid with a number of food allergies and quinoa was one of the things he could eat. Its pretty mild flavored and can be used a lot like rice or cuscus.

Most of the Kale around this house is being juiced along with lots of other vegies and fruit. Green smoothies for breakfast....Yum.

Kale? That stuff is like a green plastic scrubbing pad. Probably scrapes out a colon like crazy.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Here's a good recipe for raw kale... Pan-Seared Salmon with Kale and Apple Salad (Substitute Walnut oil for olive oil and use Medjool dates). And one for kale chips Peppered Kale Chips (Use coconut oil for the olive here)
